SERVICE ALERT

Ensuring claimants’ access to needed medication during times of disaster is a priority for Optum. Due to Hurricane Olivia and its expected impact on Hawaii; and Hurricane Florence and its expected impact on North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, Optum is lifting the Refill Too Soon edit and will allow an override so that claimants can receive their medications.

Our home delivery pharmacy, OptumRx, will continue to process orders, expedite shipments when requested and attempt to have delivery completed ahead of the storm. However, for safety, the carrier may hold the order until the impacted area is cleared.

Our ancillary teams have proactively contacted claimants over the last several days. Where appropriate, needed supplies have been shipped to arrive ahead of the storm.

We will continue to monitor the situation. Clients, If you have questions or need additional assistance, please contact your account manager.
