New York Workers’ Compensation Board to offer training seminars for drug formulary process

The New York Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) has released an update on how payers and medical providers can comply with the drug formulary prior authorization process and access the medical portal.

The latest information includes compliance steps for:

  • Payers – Registration for Level 1 and Level 2 review
  • Medical providers -- Prescribing and dispensing medications to comply with the December 5, 2019 and June 5, 2020 formulary implementation dates

The WCB will hold educational webinars on the following dates to outline the roles of payers and medical providers:

October 24, 2019        4:30 pm – 5:30 pm

October 29, 2019        8:30 am – 9:30 am

Payers

October 15, 2019        12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

October 30, 2019        1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
